Municipal Solid Waste (MSW):
• b.
Hazardous Wastes:
• c.
Industrial Wastes:
• d.
Agricultural Wastes:
• e.
Bio-Medical Wastes:
“Solid waste storage” means the interim containment of solid waste, in an approved manner,
after generating and prior to collection and disposal.
“Storage container” means a garbage can, dumpster or other
container used or designed for the deposit or storage of solid waste
before transport to the landfill.
1. Dump
trucks for contaminated soils.
2. Tankers
and vacuum trucks for liquid and semi-solid waste.
3. Intermodal
and gondola railroad transport for containerized waste and contaminated soils.
4. Live
floor trailers for compacted or top loaded solid waste.
5. Flatbeds
and dry van trailers for drum handling.
6. Container
and roll off chassis.
A transfer station is a building or processing site for the temporary
deposition of waste. Transfer stations are often used as
places where local waste collection
vehicles will deposit their waste
cargo prior to loading into larger vehicles.
