TOPIC: proclamation of Independence in Nicaragua.
OBJECTIVE. T o know about the proclamation of the Independence in Nicaragua.

In those years, in Mexico, san Agustin de Iturbide, with the support of the most reactionary clases that were the landowners and the clergy, made himself named emperor and proposed to unit Central America with Mexico with the complicity of those who ran our countries. In this way, Iturbide would support their interests.
Agustin de Iturbide proclaimed himself emperor of Mexico. In september 1821 the Chiapas and soconusco provinces separated from Guatemala and annexed Mexico.
In Guatemala the creoles decided to meet to discuss whether or not Central Amercia separated from Spain. On september 15, 1821, the civil, religious and military authorities of the General Captaincy of Guatemala met to discuss the issue of Independence from central America from Spain.
On september 15,1821, an assembly was held between Gabino Gainza, Miguel Larreynaga of Nicaragua, who delivered his speech in favor of delivered his speech in favor of the immediate Independence of Spain.
Mr Jose Cecilio del Valle, who dragted the act of Independence, and the other statesmen, signed and proclaimed the Independence of the provinces of the spanish government: Guatemala, el Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica and thus Central America separated from Spain.
In Nicaragua the events were known  on September 23. In Leon, the capital, the Independence was  not accepted. The governor the bishop and other peninsular were opposed to the proclamation of Independence from Spain.

2- what was the attitude of the Leon and Granada people authorities when knowing Independence?
