topic: The Central American Federation.

Objective:To learn about the Central American Federation.

Neither the independence, nor the annexation to Mexico were supported by a common desire of the Central American provinces, for which a constituent assembly was called on june 24, 1823, in which Jose Matias Delgado was elected as a president. The Central American Union formed by Guatemala, el Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica was decreed.

With a government whose headquarters would be Guatemala and the power in charge of a president and a vice president elect for three years and in each province it should  be administered by a chief and a vice chief elect for two years.

In 1830 Francisco Morazan was elected president of the United provinces of Central America, of liberal ideas and defender of the Central American unit. 

Francisco Morazan as many Central American patriotic in  differents times aspired that the Homeland, which is the people, be free and that each and every one of their chidren live as brothers, but it waas a time when there were many civil wars in all the provinces, to despite having been president, but he didnt succeed.
