TOPIC: Sandinista Popular Revolution.

OBJECTIVE: To know about the Sandinista Popular Revolution.

With the triumph on July in 1979, the somocist a institutions were dismantled, beginning the formation of a new state that corresponded to a totally different system based on the interests of the great majority.

Forms of Government:

The new state was structured on many institutions and measures to favor the new government.

1. The government board of national reconstruction  (JGRN).
2. The state council made up of representatives from all sectors of Nicaraguan society.
3. A new armed force, the Sandinista Popular Army, which replaceed the National Guard.

The measures that were taken were: 

1- the abolition of the repressive laws of the Dictatorship.

2- The assets of the Somoza family were confiscated.

3- A process of socio-economic and cultural transformation was carried out.

The government board of National Reconstruction represents the Executive power.

As of the election on November 4, 1984, the council of state became a National Assembly. Which represented the Legislative power. The executive power was headed by a president and vice president, the governing board board was made up by Daniel Ortega, Sergio Ramirez, Alonso Robledo, Callejas and Moises Hasson Morales.
