Topic: The war on 1926.

Objective: to know more about the history of the war on 1926.

Faced with the conservatives refusal to hand over power to the liberals, Sacasa installeed his government in the coastal city of Puerto Cabeza in December 1926 and appointed Jose Maria Moncada as head of the army. The fight between conservatives and Liberals spread throughout the country . Adolfo Diaz, unable to confront the rebels, requested the help of the Yankees.

Upon learning about what was happening in Nicaragua, Augusto C Sandino , a young man from Niquinohomo, Masaya, who was residing in Mexico, returned to our country to fight the north American invasion.

At the end of December 1926 the American troops landed heads in port with the purpose of disarming Sacasa. Despite this, the rebels extended their fight throughout the territory. Adolfo Diaz decided that the marines would occupy the entire country , and those occupied by them became known as neutral zones.

On April 1927, Sandno received Moncada's call from Matiguas, Matagalpa. He went to the hill  "el comun"  in Boaco, where he defeated the forces of the Niacaraguan governmente to the lberals who had been winning supporters in the town.
