Ms Castillo.
TOPIC: Energy and its transformations.
OBJECTIVE: to know about energy and its transformations.

Energy Transformations Examples. An energy transformation is the change of energy from one form to another. Energy transformations occur everywhere every second of the day. There are many different forms of energy such as electrical, thermal, nuclear, mechanical, electromagnetic, sound, and chemical.

Energy transformationEnergy transformation or energy conversion is the process of changing one form of energy to another. In physics, the term energy describes the capacity to produce certain changes within a system, without regard to limitations in transformation imposed by Entropy.
Energy transfer is the movement of energy from one location to another. For example, when electricity moves from a wall plug, through a charger, to a battery.
Energy transformation is when energy changes from one form to another – like in a hydroelectric dam that transforms the kinetic energy of water into electrical energy.
While energy can be transferred or transformed, the total amount of energy does not change – this is called energy conservation.

ACTIVITY: Read the text and explain with your own words what do you understand of energy transformation.
