TOPIC: Protection of biodiversity and forest.
OBJECTIVE: to know about the protection of biodiversity and forest.
Protecting natural resources and biodiversity (plants and animals in each area), through agricultural techniques that prevent deforestation and degradation of the soil and the environment is everyone's responsability.
One strategy for conserving forest biodiversity is to provide and protect a variety of habitats for plants and animals. Diverse habitat types ensure the potential for a wide range of plants and animals.
to today's natural ecosystems and may depend on the characteristics of those habitats, we can maintain biodiversity in managed forests by trying to maintain habitat patterns and successional stages that are similar to the historic variety of ecosystems in natural landscapes.
There are many reasons why forests are an important feature for the environment and in our daily lives. They are fundamental life forms and provide for the continuity of the world's biodiversity which is necessary for economic development, diversity of life forms, human livelihood, and environmental adaptive responses.
Tropical, temperate and boreal forests offer a diverse set of habitats for plants, animals and micro-organisms. Consequently forests hold the majority of the world's terrestrial species. However these biologically rich systems are increasingly threatened, largely as a result of human activity.
